Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to lead and mentor nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold resident care excellence.

This leadership role requires an active RN license, strong clinical judgment, and a restorative care philosophy to coordinate care plans, staffing, documentation, and Infection Control programs across the facility. You will partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, manage budgets, and drive quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board.
• Background in geriatric or long-term care nursing.
• Restorative care philosophy with strong assessment and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Support staffing needs by stepping in to assist floor staffing when needed.
• Oversee resident care including MDS, care planning, Performance Improvement, and Infection Control.
• Hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate nursing duties based on census and budget needs.
• Review and maintain up-to-date and accurate resident records.
• Collaborate to design individualized care plans with physicians and teams.
• Ensure timely access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources.
• Conduct assessments and implement infection control measures.
