Job summary

Adept Rehab and Nursing of Midtown is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Infection Preventionist to lead nursing services and oversee the facility's infection prevention program. The role focuses on clinical excellence, quality outcomes, and staff development.

You will supervise nursing staff, collaborate with physicians and families, conduct surveillance, implement policies, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
• Prior ADON, nursing leadership, or infection prevention experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily management and oversight of nursing services.
• Support and guide nursing staff to ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
• Serve as the facility’s Infection Preventionist and oversee the infection prevention and control program.
• Monitor infection trends, conduct surveillance, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention policies and procedures.
• Provide education and training to staff regarding infection prevention, control practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Participate in audits, investigations, and corrective action plans as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote positive resident outcomes.
• Assist with staff supervision, clinical documentation, and other nursing leadership responsibilities.
