Avardis Health in Walnut Cove, NC is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our skilled nursing team. This leadership role requires an RN with strong clinical and management experience to guide nursing staff and ensure high-quality resident care.

You will mentor and develop staff, ensure regulatory compliance, collaborate with department heads, and promote a compassionate, patient-centered approach that enhances outcomes for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license.
• RN degree from accredited college or university.
• CPR certification.
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in a setting serving a similar resident population.
• At least one (1) year of management experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to nursing home operations.
• A dedicated, compassionate, and results-driven professional committed to delivering exceptional care.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management, clinicians, and other team members.
• Actively participate in the development and achievement of nursing department goals, including staff development functions and educational programming.
• Assist in the implementation of and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice consistent with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
• Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff to deliver efficient resident care in accordance with staffing plans and state-mandated requirements.
• Collaborate with department heads to promote positive interdepartmental relations.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring an accurate and effective documentation system.
• Provide direct resident care as needed, ensuring effective interaction with residents and families.
• Deliver innovative and responsible healthcare by creating and implementing new ideas and processes that improve outcomes.
