Job summary

AristaCare Health Services in New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to assist the Director of Nursing in leading the clinical team and delivering quality, patient-centered care to residents.

The ADON will oversee staffing, infection control coordination, staff training, compliance, and competency evaluations, while partnering with the in-house Talent Acquisition team.

Qualifications

• NJ RN license required; leadership experience preferred.
• Infection control experience preferred.
• 3 years of supervisory experience in long-term care/sub-acute setting preferred.
• IP course completion within 3–6 months of hire expected.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the upmost quality and patient-centered care of residents
• Coordinate infection control
• Plans, organize, and implement training programs/in-services for clinical staff.
• Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of residents. This may include recruitment.
• Oversee the process for competency evaluations and corrective action plans.

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of NJ.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible nursing experience in clinical setting is preferred.
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience in long term care/sub-acute setting is preferred.
• Infection Control: 1 year (Preferred)
• Must be computer literate and experience with EMR preferred
• Completion of IP Course within 3-6 months of hire would be expected.
