Summary

Assist the Director of Nursing in the overall management of the Nursing Department.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring quality nursing care for all residents. Support and uphold the philosophy, objectives, and standards of the Nursing Department.
• Ensure adequate staffing to provide quality care.
• Coordinate in-service and staff development programs that meet nursing standards and comply with regulations.
• Provide clinical expertise to support patient/resident interventions.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Act as Director of Nursing in their absence if designated.
• Supervise nursing personnel as directed by the Director of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Three to five years of management experience.
• RN license in the state.
