Job summary

Hyatt Centric Park City is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to lead the hotel’s engineering team and oversee interior, exterior, and building systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical. You will manage daily operations, preventive maintenance, and emergency services to ensure safe, reliable hotel operations.

The role requires 2–3 years of management experience in a luxury hotel, a high school diploma or equivalent, and certifications such as Universal

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or bachelor’s preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Experience with hotel building systems, soldering and brazing is preferred.
• Universal Refrigeration Certification and CPO certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train and mentor team members.
• Fluent English; bilingual abilities a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hotel interior, exterior, and building systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical.
• Lead Engineering team, manage daily operations and maintenance activities.
• Direct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to ensure safe, efficient hotel operations.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records and support OSHA, fire and environmental compliance.
• Assist with capital projects and equipment replacement planning; respond to emergencies as needed.

The Assistant Director of Engineering oversees the hotel’s interior, exterior, and building systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical. This role leads the Engineering team, manages daily operations, and directs routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable hotel operations.

The Assistant Director of Engineering also manages preventive maintenance records. This position assists with compliance with OSHA, fire, environmental, and local safety regulations; supports capital projects and equipment replacement planning; and responds to emergencies as needed.
