Job summary

Hyatt Centric Park City is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee the hotel’s interior, exterior, and building systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical. You will lead the Engineering team, manage daily operations, and guide preventive maintenance to ensure safe and reliable hotel performance.

The role also involves maintaining preventive maintenance records, supporting OSHA and local safety compliance, and contributing to capital projects and equipment replacement planning.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of engineering management experience, preferably in a luxury hotel.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Experience with hotel building systems, soldering, and brazing preferred.
• Universal Refrigeration Certification and CPO certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

The Chief Engineer oversees the hotel’s interior, exterior, and building systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical. The Chief Engineer also manages preventive maintenance records. This position assists with compliance with OSHA, fire, environmental, and local safety regulations; supports capital projects and equipment replacement planning; and responds to emergencies as needed.
