Job summary

UCLA Health's Patient Access Organization seeks an Assistant Director for Access Operations to lead centralized scheduling and access performance. This role bridges strategy and frontline execution, guiding supervisors and coaches to ensure reliable service levels and seamless patient entry.

You will partner with clinical leaders, IT, and revenue cycle teams to drive data-driven improvements, governance, and workforce effectiveness while aligning with enterprise commitments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Organizational Development, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7 years minimum of progressive healthcare operations leadership in ambulatory access or related areas.
  • 3 years minimum directly managing supervisors or managers.
  • 3 years minimum in performance management and quality governance with dashboards.
  • 3 years minimum data-driven operational leadership with KPIs.
  • 3 years minimum cross-functional stakeholder engagement across clinical IT, revenue cycle, and leadership.
  • 2 years minimum preferred in process improvement or systems integration.

Responsibilities

  • Unify operational execution and governance across centralized scheduling and access operations.
  • Oversee leaders and ensure alignment with service levels, scheduling accuracy, and accountability.
  • Own access performance, workforce effectiveness, and continuous improvement for their domain.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders, IT, and executives to drive improvements.
