University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications for the Assistant Director, Degree Audit & Planner Systems. The role leads the degree audit and academic planning tools, guiding design, encoding, testing, and ongoing improvements to support policy and curriculum across campus.

The position reports to the Deputy Registrar for Data & Systems and oversees a team, coordinating with campus partners, OIT, and vendors to ensure reliable outputs and effective user support within an on-campus role

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• At least three years of relevant professional experience.
• Direct experience with encoding of degree audit software (uAchieve or comparable).
• Extensive experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
• Experience understanding, organizing, and representing data.
• Experience documenting processes and procedures.
• Experience developing solutions and efficiencies in processes.
• Experience gathering and providing analysis for user requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for degree audit and planner systems, including strategy, configuration, testing, maintenance, and continuous improvement of these tools.
• Supervise the Registrar Systems Analyst team responsible for degree audit/planner operations.
• Serve as primary operational liaison to campus partners, OIT, and vendors.
• Ensure degree audit/planner functionality aligns with academic policy, curriculum requirements, advising practices, and institutional goals.
• Lead campus deployment and upgrades, training, and documentation; drive enhancements and ensure accuracy across the campus technology landscape.
