Learning Care Group is seeking an Assistant Director to support the safe, effective operation of the school alongside the School Director.

In the absence of the Director, the Assistant Director holds sole responsibility and helps foster the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.

This role emphasizes accountability, responsibility, creativity, and teamwork to ensure a high‑quality learning environment for families served by Learning Care Group in Chesapeake.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 2 years of Assistant Director experience in a licensed childcare facility.
• Associates in ECE or related field is preferred.
• Must meet state requirements for education and our center/school requirements.

Responsibilities

• The Assistant Director is responsible for the safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director, to achieve Learning Care Group’s safety vision.
• In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school.
• The Assistant Director assists in the promotion of the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.

Education

Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
