Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington is seeking an Assistant Director for the 21st Century Scholars program. This role plans activities to support retention and timely degree completion, and coordinates orientation and advising events for first-year through senior students.

You will meet with high schoolers, families, and campus partners to explain scholarship opportunities, manage program logistics, and ensure records confidentiality using SIS and related systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social work, public affairs, counseling, business, or related field.
• Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or related field (preferred).
• 2 years in student services, higher education, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assists with planning and coordination of activities to support retention and degree completion.
• Meets with prospective students and families at college fairs and events.
• Represents the Director at meetings and develops advising materials and presentations.
• Maintains confidentiality per FERPA and university policies.
• Oversees program promotions, outreach, and training within IU Bloomington.
