Position: Assistant Director – External Victim Services Partnerships

The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office is dedicated to seeking justice and supporting victims of crime. Our Victim Services Unit is committed to providing comprehensive assistance to victims while fostering partnerships that enhance the support and resources available. The Assistant Director of External Victim Services Partnerships will play a key role in building and managing relationships with external organizations to improve and expand victim services and referrals.

Summary of Job
The Assistant Director of External Victim Services Partnerships is responsible for developing, managing, and enhancing partnerships with external organizations to support and advance victim services. This role involves collaborating with community organizations, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to create a network of resources and support systems for victims of crime. The ideal candidate will have strong relationship-building skills, experience in partnership development, and a deep understanding of victim services in the City of Philadelphia.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partnership Development: Identify, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations, advocacy groups, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders. Build and nurture relationships to enhance the network of resources available to victims of crime.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with external partners to coordinate victim services and ensure seamless integration of support. Assist the Director of Victim Services in facilitating regular meetings and communication to align efforts and address any issues or gaps in services.
  • Program Enhancement: Collaborate with partners to develop and implement programs and initiatives that improve victim services. Share best practices, resources, and expertise to enhance the effectiveness of support provided to victims.
  • Resource Management: Identify and leverage resources available through external partnerships to support victim services. Develop and maintain a resource guide for day-to-day operations and referral process.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Monitor the effectiveness of partnerships and programs, gathering feedback from partners and victims to assess impact and identify areas for improvement. Use data and insights to refine partnership strategies and enhance service delivery.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on partnership activities, program outcomes, and resource utilization. Provide recommendations for strengthening partnerships and advancing victim services.
  • Operations: Assist the Director of Victim Services in the daily operations of the unit, special projects other tasks as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, public administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in victim services, community outreach, or partnership development, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining partnerships with external organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of victim rights, trauma-informed care, and best practices in victim services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
