The opportunity

The Assistant Director of Military Education Benefits – Veterans Affairs Processing will oversee processing and enrollment reporting for Chapter 31, Veteran Readiness & Employment Program (VR&E) for our online and campus students. The role involves engaging with university partners to improve the military student experience, managing military benefit education specialists, and aligning with SNHU's core values and mission.

This is a remote-friendly position (#LI-Remote) reporting to the Director of Military Education Benefits.

In this role:
  • Lead projects to improve military student experience in processing benefits.
  • Oversee and maintain the Tungsten Network Portal for VR&E authorization and invoicing.
  • Build relationships and communicate with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) daily.
  • Oversee training modules for new team members and ongoing learning.
  • Collaborate to improve daily practices and service quality.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance for military benefit processing.
  • Represent the Military Benefit Team in projects to enhance the student experience.
  • Provide feedback to promote engagement and collaboration.
  • Perform other related responsibilities to support Military Benefits, Student Financial Services, and University goals.
What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of recent experience in military benefit processing, including VR&E Program and Tungsten Network Portal compliance.
  • 2+ years of recent experience with Enrollment Manager, Banner, PowerBI, and Argos reporting platforms.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • A thoughtful mindset to promote and improve operations.

Compensation

The annual pay range is $56,752 - $90,821. The actual offer depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal considerations. The target hiring range is $62,712 - $84,846.
