Job summary

The Learning Experience – Franklin is seeking an experienced Assistant Center Director to join our leadership team. You’ll mentor teachers, partner with families, and help lead a high-quality early childhood program.

Working with the Center Director, you’ll manage daily operations, staff development, licensing compliance, and enrollment support to create an environment where children, families, and educators thrive.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Director I & II Certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of early childhood leadership experience (2+ preferred).
• Experience with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MA EEC licensing regulations.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and onboard outstanding early childhood educators.
• Coach, mentor, and support teachers through observations and feedback.
• Promote implementation of L.E.A.P. Curriculum and ensure classroom ratios.
• Develop staff schedules and maintain licensing compliance.
• Support training, professional development, and performance management.
• Maintain personnel records per MA EEC regulations.
• Oversee daily center operations with educational quality as a focus.
• Ensure MA EEC licensing and health and safety standards are met.
• Partner with the Center Director to drive enrollment growth and retention.
• Foster strong relationships with families through exceptional service.

Pay: $50,000–$60,000 per year (based on experience and credentials)

Working alongside the Center Director, you'll play a key role in daily operations, staff development, licensing compliance, enrollment support, and creating an environment where children, families, and educators can thrive.

Responsibilities

Team Development

• Recruit, interview, and onboard outstanding early childhood educators
• Coach, mentor, and support teachers through regular classroom observations and performance feedback
• Promote consistent implementation of The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Develop staff schedules while ensuring proper classroom ratios and licensing compliance
• Support employee training, professional development, and ongoing performance management
• Maintain personnel records and required documentation in accordance with Massachusetts EEC regulations

Center Operations

• Help oversee the daily operation of the center while maintaining exceptional educational quality
• Ensure compliance with all Massachusetts EEC licensing and health and safety regulations
• Partner with the Center Director to support enrollment growth and family retention
• Foster strong relationships with current and prospective families through exceptional customer service
• Assist with community outreach, center events, and family engagement initiatives
• Help create a positive, collaborative culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and excellence
