Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking an Assistant Dining Services Manager to oversee all aspects of food service for residents, staff and guests. You will hire, train, supervise, and evaluate dining staff, and prepare meals according to approved menus and diets.

This role requires Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain, leadership experience in dining services, and the ability to manage budgets, safety, and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Dining services management or leadership experience.
• Experience ordering, storing, preparing and serving in a food service environment.
• Ability to read, write and perform simple calculations.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and tolerate temperature extremes.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must lift 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all aspects of food service for residents, staff and guests.
• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates dining staff.
• Prepares meals according to menus and dietary needs.
• Ensures sanitation and compliance with health regulations.
• Monitors budget and food/supply costs.
• Records temperatures and maintains safety and quality standards.
• Cooperates with Dining Services Director and attends staff meetings.
