Job summary

Nashville Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Sous Chef/Dietary Supervisor Assistant to join our team. The role reports to the Director of Dietary Services and supports dietary operations in the facility.

Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, coordinating meals, and communicating with medical staff. Education includes a high school diploma or GED, with CDM certification preferred but not required. Daily Pay is available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDM certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role.
• SNF experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen staff to ensure compliance with regulations, schedules, and meal times.
• Communicate effectively with medical/nursing staff and other department supervisors.
• Handle interactions with residents and family members in a professional manner.

Working Conditions

• Works in food and nutrition service areas
• Moves intermittently during working hours
• Subject to frequent interruptions
• Involvement with residents, personnel, visitors, and government agencies under various conditions
• Must handle interactions with emotionally upset residents and family members
• Communicates effectively with medical/nursing staff & other department supervisors
• Supervises kitchen staff to ensure compliance with regulations, schedules, and meal times

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• CDM certification preferred but not required

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role
• Skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience preferred but not required
