Job summary

JETRO RESTAURANT DEPOT is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager in Everett, MA to partner with the Deli Manager to ensure freshness and top-notch customer service. The role emphasizes strict HACCP adherence, safe operations, and active loss prevention.

You will help maintain stock, train staff, and support daily deli activity while promoting sales growth and ensuring a clean, compliant work environment consistent with corporate policies.

• Ability to develop and train team members, build relationships, utilize skills of team members most appropriately.
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Ability to manage warehouse operations effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to communicate clearly and listen to others, understand material, and instruct team members.
• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Warehouse, retail and/or customer service experience is a plus.
• Must be able to use handheld scanner and calculator.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a safe working/shopping environment.
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service with sincerity, patience and respect.
• Communicate with customers and respond to questions promptly.
• Operate equipment according to company and OSHA guidelines.
• Follow HACCP policy and Always Fresh mentality in product handling.
• Assist with product presentation, rotation, labeling and replenishment.
• Maintain in-stock position and monitor inventory via cycle counts.
• Maintain knowledge of warehouse equipment.
• Gain operational execution and product knowledge.
• Ensure Department procedures align with Corporate Audit.
• Use selling skills to increase sales via suggestive selling.
• Communicate code dating issues and shrink opportunities.
• Plan work duties during shift; maintain cleanliness.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring and scheduling needs.
• Adhere to laws and safety guidelines; report issues.
• Assist general team members as needed.
• Assist in other areas as needed.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with/without accommodation.
