You will assist in hiring, training, and developing the deli staff while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a preferred 2 years supervisory experience and strong knowledge of deli or related food service.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to take and give direction.
• Posess outgoing, friendly behavior and positive attitude toward customers.
• Demonstrate leadership to motivate and maintain staff while understanding reports and financial goals.
• Show attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Have and maintain Food Safety certification and comply with all regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Deli team.
• Unload and sort deliveries and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
