Lowes Foods in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a Deli Manager to supervise the deli department, deliver friendly guest service, and uphold merchandising and operating standards across the department. You will lead staff, schedule labor, monitor inventory and product quality, ensure sanitation and safety, and perform training and development to maintain top performance and guest satisfaction.

• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service.
• Maintain department labor budget and scheduling.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

To supervise and ensure that Lowes Foods guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained in the deli department to achieve maximum sales. Assume the duties of the Department Manager in their absence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Performs PA announcements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

• Knowledge of deli operations.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the Store Manager and Merchandiser.
• Ability to work well with computers.
