Job summary
The University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health seeks an Assistant Dean for Development and External Relations to lead a comprehensive development and alumni program, reporting to the Dean and UDAR leadership. The role coordinates fundraising strategies across divisions to advance school priorities and strengthen external relations with donors, alumni, and partners.

Qualifications
- Expert fundraising knowledge with donor relations and PR concepts.
- Experience designing donor identification, cultivation, and solicitation.
- Strong understanding of foundations and nonprofits.
- Ability to set and exceed fundraising goals.
- Ability to structure complex gifts and multi-institutional collaborations.
Responsibilities
- Directs a comprehensive development program including major gifts and annual fund.
- Develops strategic plans aligned with school priorities.
- Cultivates major gifts and prepares proposals for donors.
- Leads a team and manages budgets and staff development.
- Represents the Dean at events and external engagements.
