Job summary

Core Scientific, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Critical Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day data center operations on site in a high‑performance environment. You will lead technicians, manage power and cooling, and ensure uptime and safety across critical systems.

You will coordinate maintenance, supervise shifts, and drive compliance with SLAs while partnering with leadership to evolve operations and CMMS processes for efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mission‑critical operations or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in mission‑critical environments.
• 1+ year of direct management of non‑exempt shift-based employees.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Experience creating and managing a preventive maintenance program.
• Experience establishing a new data center or data hall is preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of data center infrastructure.
• Build a staff of technicians to achieve 100% uptime and minimize risk.
• Manage power and cooling capacity and monitor environmental conditions.
• Support 24x7 operations with flexible shifts and maintenance coverage.
• Resolve electrical, mechanical, and fire protection issues and communicate with customers.
• Lead data center construction transitions to sustainable operations.
• Maintain CMMS accuracy and generate operational reports as needed.
• Enforce adherence to SLAs and change control.
• Schedule and review work by contractors and vendors.
• Provide leadership in the manager’s absence and support site tours as required.
