Core Scientific, Inc. seeks an Assistant Critical Facilities Manager to support onsite data center operations in Auburn, AL.
You will assist with the management of critical infrastructure, train and build a skilled technician team, and help ensure 100% uptime while coordinating with contractors and customers. You will monitor power and cooling, support 24x7 shifts, and help lead construction-to-operations transitions.

The Assistant Critical Facilities Manager is responsible for all aspects of data center operations and maintenance of critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, equipment, systems, and staff, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to safety and reliability within the Data Center. Working with the Critical Facilities Manager, assist in building a team of Critical Facilities Technicians (CFTs), Engineers, and outside contractors capable of achieving 100% availability. The Assistant Manager understands and can train staff on colocation data center environments, including the planning and layout of power and cabling, customer needs, and remote hands functions.
On Site Travel Occasional travel between data centers may be required as needed.
This job operates in a data center, office, and shop environment. This role routinely uses standard maintenance equipment, including ladders, scissor lifts, forklifts, power tools, and voltmeters. While performing these duties, the employee will be exposed to hot and cold environments.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift up to 50 pounds.
This is a full-time, onsite position. Shifts may vary according to the site. Provide on-call support and respond to all data center emergencies 24/7, including on-site response outside of scheduled shifts.
