Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Atlanta seeks an Assistant Corporate Controller (Director) to lead the accounting team, own financial reporting across the enterprise, and strengthen internal controls as part of a strategic finance transformation.

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will oversee GL, consolidation, fixed assets, accelerate close cycles, coordinate audits, and help build a scalable SOX framework with executive visibility and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
• 9–11+ years progressive accounting experience in public accounting and corporate leadership
• Experience leading monthly close, financial reporting, and audit processes
• Strong technical accounting foundation including consolidations and SOX compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close, financial reporting, and audit processes across a multi-entity environment
• Oversee general ledger operations, consolidation, and fixed asset accounting
• Drive integrity, speed, and scalability of financial reporting; build a scalable SOX framework
• Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to drive process improvement and transformation
