Job summary

Talentedge Recruitment Limited is partnering with a fast-growing Series D SaaS scaleup to hire an Assistant Controller for a US remote role, offering $160k–$170k salary plus equity and a chance to shape a best-in-class accounting function.

You’ll work with the Controller to automate processes, ensure a smooth month-end close, lead ASC 606 revenue recognition, and partner with GTM, Legal, Product & Engineering on contracts.

Qualifications

• Active CPA required.
• Experience in high-growth scaleups, preferably SaaS/AI.
• Experience in remote-first environments.
• Strong ASC 606 revenue recognition experience.
• Proven AI-forward usage in accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve accounting processes and controls, leveraging AI where possible.
• Ensure a smooth consolidated month-end close for all entities.
• Lead technical accounting research and policy development.
• Ensure accurate ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with GTM, Legal, Product and Engineering on contract structuring.

Talentedge are exclusively partnering with a highly acquisitive Series D SaaS scaleup (additional marketplace revenue model) on a newly created Assistant Controller opportunity owed to explosive international growth. Backed by Tier 1 VC's and constantly recognised as the global leader in their vertical, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Partnering closely with a fantastic Controller, you'll be instrumental in continuing to build, scale and automate a best-in-class accounting function.

Key responsibilities to include:

• Continue to evolve accounting processes and controls, utilising AI at every possible opportunity
• Ensure a smooth consolidated month end close process for all entities, including analysis and commentaries
• Lead on technical accounting research
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
• Partner cross-functionally, with a particular focus on GTM / Legal / Product & Engineering functions around contract structuring

Candidate profile:

• Active CPA
• High-growth scaleup experience (preference for SaaS / AI / marketplace)
• Prior experience ideally of working within a remote-first environment
• Strong ASC 606 revenue recognition experience
• AI-forward with demonstrable experience of usage across your function
