Job summary

Dexian, a well-respected national organization, seeks an experienced Assistant Controller to join the accounting leadership team in Central Florida. This high-visibility role reports to the CFO and offers influence over financial operations, multi-entity consolidations, and staff development.

You will lead month-end close, drive budgeting and forecasting, coordinate with external auditors, strengthen controls, and mentor a growing accounting team in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Foundation in public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm experience preferred).
• Corporate/private accounting leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Multi-entity accounting experience.
• Audit support and compliance experience.
• Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Oversee multi-entity accounting and consolidations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Manage audit preparation and coordination with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
• Review and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes.
• Partner with leadership on strategic financial initiatives.
• Develop, mentor, and coach accounting staff.
