Job summary

AbbVie seeks an Assistant Controller to lead the financial, cost accounting and compliance activities at its AP16 manufacturing site. You will drive planning, budgeting and reporting while delivering reliable financial information to site leadership.

You will supervise 3 staff, partner with operations for costs, enhance internal controls and support audits, with a focus on continuous improvement and standardization across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of finance experience; cost accounting experience optional.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and independent judgment.
• Excellent leadership and ability to present to management teams.
• Strategic thinking and ability to drive cost improvements.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control financial, cost accounting and compliance activities for the manufacturing site AP16.
• Lead planning, budgeting, forecasts and variance analyses for the site.
• Coordinate monthly reports, balance sheet reconciliations and year-end packages.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to improve profitability.
• Ensure internal controls and GAAP compliance; manage audits.
• Partner with site leadership to drive cost reductions and performance.
• Supervise and develop a team of 3 direct reports.
• Promote continuous improvement and standardization across the network.
