Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an on-site Assistant Controller in Lutz, FL to support accounting and finance functions for a growing organization. This role collaborates with senior leadership on reporting, closes, and process improvements in a fast-growing environment.

Responsibilities include month-end close, reconciliations, budgeting support, and developing a small accounting team, with NetSuite ERP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in an Assistant Controller or similar role.
• Strong financial reporting and month-end close knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.
• NetSuite ERP experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior financial leadership in managing the organization’s accounting and financial reporting functions.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports for accuracy.
• Support the preparation of financial information for executive leadership and the Board.
• Lead month-end close activities including journal entries and GL maintenance.
• Supervise, coach, and develop a small accounting team.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with financial analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operations.
