Job summary

SDL Search Partners in Andover, MA is seeking an Assistant Controller for a leadership-track role. You will oversee the US finance function, report to the Controller and CFO, and manage 2 direct and 2 indirect reports.

You will drive process improvements, lead strategic projects, and regularly present to senior leadership in a fast-growing environment. On-site role with flexible hours to accommodate work-life balance.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of GL accounting, financial reporting, & accounting function oversight.
• Strong leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in a rapid-growth environment; CPA is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting and finance function for the US business unit, including AP, AR, Treasury, internal controls, GL accounting, and financial reporting.
• Supervise 2 direct reports and 2 indirect reports; oversee disclosures to senior leadership.
• Lead process improvements and key strategic projects; implement efficient financial processes.
• Present financial results and strategic insights to senior leadership on a regular basis.

Dynamic, growth-mode company, has a newly created, leadership-track role for an Assistant Controller.

Overseeing 2 direct reports and 2 indirect reports, this Assistant Controller will lead the finance function for the US business unit, reporting to Controller and CFO.

This Assistant Controller will oversee 2 Senior Accountants and will oversee the full accounting and finance function, including AP, AR, Treasury, Internal Controls buildout, GL Accounting, and Financial Reporting and Analysis for senior leadership.

The ideal candidate has experience in a rapid-growth organization and the team is looking for someone who thrives in that environment. Direct communication, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation are highly desired.

This is an on-site role, with flexible hours (some start their days early and leave early, and others start later and leave later in the day).

Qualifications:

• BS, Accounting / Finance or related
• CPA is a plus but not required
• 10 -15+ years of GL Accounting, financial reporting, & accounting function oversight
