Job summary

SDL Search Partners in Massachusetts is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the US finance function. You will report to the Controller and CFO, supervise 2 Senior Accountants and oversee AP, AR, Treasury, internal controls, GL accounting, and financial reporting.

The role emphasizes process improvement, strategic projects, and frequent presentations to senior leadership in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial culture. This on-site position offers flexible hours to suit individual schedules.

Qualifications

• BS, Accounting / Finance or related.
• CPA is a plus but not required.
• 10-15+ years of GL Accounting, financial reporting, & accounting function oversight.
• Strong leadership abilities.
• Strong process improvement skills - able to look at current procedures and find more effective and efficient solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. This is a close-knit, passionate team! New ideas & open communication are encouraged!

Responsibilities

Overseeing 2 direct reports and 2 indirect reports, this Assistant Controller will lead the finance function for the US business unit, reporting to Controller and CFO.

This Assistant Controller will oversee 2 Senior Accountants and will oversee the full accounting and finance function, including AP, AR, Treasury, Internal Controls buildout, GL Accounting, and Financial Reporting and Analysis for senior leadership.

The ideal candidate has experience in a rapid-growth organization and the team is looking for someone who thrives in that environment. Direct communication, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation are highly desired.

This is an on-site role, with flexible hours (some start their days early and leave early, and others start later and leave later in the day).
