Job summary

Personalization Mall is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the GL Accounting Department, overseeing revenue, AR/AP, inventory, and cost accounting for our e-commerce and wholesale brands. The role requires strong GAAP knowledge and experience with SOX controls.

The ideal candidate will manage month-end close, drive variance analysis, and partner with cross-functional teams. Local location preferences exist, with flexibility for multiple sites. Strong ERP and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment with food industry cost accounting.
• Strong technical and analytical capabilities, including proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Oracle), advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Power Query, data modeling).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to translate financial information for non-finance stakeholders while demonstrating planning, attention to detail, initiative, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily, weekly, and monthly activities of general accounting including month-end close, audits, and reconciliations.
• Direct posting of entries from e-commerce and wholesale businesses; ensure GAAP compliance.
• Partner with cost-center managers to provide variance analysis to leadership.
• Review deferred revenue, AR, and cash reconciliations in revenue processes.
• Oversee SOX controls for all processes.
• Communicate variance analysis to non-financial partners and to executives.
• Coordinate month-end close for catalog advertising and digital marketing expenses.
• Support Finance Managers and Accounting Managers with financial information.
• Manage special projects as assigned.
