Job summary

Waste Resource Management (WRM) is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the corporate controller in managing accounting functions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring policy and regulatory compliance. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

You will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, maintain the general ledger, assist with month-end and year-end closes, and support budgeting, forecasting, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
• CPA or progress toward certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years of managerial experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger and day-to-day accounting operations.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Assist external auditors and liaise with regulators.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital.
