Job summary

Waste Resource Management (WRM) seeks an Assistant Controller to support corporate finance, prepare monthly and annual reports, and ensure GAAP compliance.

Ideal candidate: Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred), CPA or progress toward certification, 3-5 years of accounting experience, and at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
• CPA or progress toward certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years of managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support the Controller in maintaining the general ledger and day-to-day operations.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Assist external auditors during the annual audit.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital.
• Other duties as assigned
