Job summary

ZIM Aircraft Seating Group in Greensboro, NC seeks an Assistant Controller to manage daily accounting operations, maintain the general ledger, and ensure US GAAP/IFRS compliance. The role includes supervising staff and supporting month-end close.

Responsibilities cover job costing, inventory valuation, internal controls, tax filings, and regulatory compliance; you will collaborate with other departments to deliver accurate financial reporting and strategic insights.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting/Finance required.
• CPA or post-graduate finance degree a plus.
• Minimum five years general accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Strong analytical and interpretation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft software applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with timely financial close and support of forecast/budget cycles.
• Support day-to-day operations of the accounting team (A/R, A/P, payroll).
• Manage the general ledger, including analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Verify accuracy of job costs and reconcile subledgers to the GL (A/P, A/R, cash management, equipment, payroll).
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external year-end audit, including inventory oversight.
• Support Treasury functions within banking platforms.
• Ensure compliance with state and local tax filings (sales tax, property taxes, 1099).
• Develop internal controls to minimize financial risk and safeguard assets.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data for decision making.
