Job summary

Oros Search is seeking an Assistant Controller for a publicly traded airline with a Northeast base and a global footprint. The role reports to the Controller and blends technical accounting, operations, financial analysis, and internal controls.

The position will lead monthly and quarterly close, external reporting, and management reporting, working with FP&A, coordinating with external auditors, and driving process improvements and accounting infrastructure development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 8–20 years progressive accounting experience, including Big Four.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; SOX and internal controls.
• Direct inventory accounting under ASC 330 and revenue ASC 606.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements for operating entities.
• Support the preparation and review of quarterly and annual management reporting packages and external financial disclosures.
• Prepare and review general ledger entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting procedures, and operational efficiency.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Partner with FP&A to provide operating results, financial analysis, management reporting, and forecasting support.
• Coordinate with external auditors on quarterly reviews, annual audits, and financial statement preparation.
