Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking an Assistant Controller to ensure accuracy of financial information, manage accounting processes, and guide the finance team. This role oversees financial reporting, tax coordination, cash management, payroll oversight, and provides strategic financial guidance to the C-suite.

The position requires leading month-end and year-end closes, liaising with auditors, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP across multiple divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience with financial audits, tax coordination, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all corporate accounting activities for multiple divisions.
• Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting processes.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare monthly schedules and supporting documentation for all Balance Sheet accounts.
• Oversee the completeness and accuracy of the A/P and A/R cycles.
• Provide financial analysis and insight to support management decision-making.
• Serve as the primary liaison with outside auditors for the company's year-end financial audits.
• Coordinate with tax professionals regarding corporate federal and state tax filings.
• Provide oversight of payroll processing and multi-state payroll tax requirements.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure appropriate availability of funds for Company operations.
• Provide mentorship, supervision, and technical guidance to accounting/financial staff.
