Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

A Hedge Fund is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as an Assistant Controller. This role will follow a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Provide mentorship and leadership to a high-performing team of fund accountants and consultants, promoting professional growth and a rewarding work environment.
• Cultivate strong team relationships and an inclusive culture that encourages open dialogue, idea-sharing, and respectful debate.
• Collaborate with process owners to drive continuous improvement, enhancing internal controls and operational efficiency through regular process evaluation.
• Support the launch of new investment products by conducting waterfall scenario analyses, responding to ad hoc requests, and developing fund models.
• Oversee cash flow reviews for complex SPV structures, including funding and distribution transactions.
• Review quarterly investor reports and assist with the preparation and execution of capital calls and distributions.
• Perform other duties, as needed.

Qualifications:

• 5 to 8 years of experience, with a strong background in private equity, including expertise in waterfall calculations and fund structures.
• Deep understanding of GAAP and experience with financial statement preparation and audit support.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and financial modeling.
