Seeking an Assistant Controller candidate in a temporary role (could possibly lead to a permanent role.)

Main Responsibilities Include

• Assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual statutory filings, including core financial statements,
• supporting schedules and footnote disclosures.
• Preparing all Statutory to GAAP adjustment entries in support of preparation of financial statements
• presented on both a statutory and GAAP basis.
• Preparing the reconciliation of all GAAP to Statutory accounting adjustments.
• Assessing technical accounting issues related to Statutory accounting regulations for appropriate financial
• treatment.
• Support both GAAP and SAP financial statement audit activities.
  
  
  

Requirements Of The Role Include

• BS in Accounting, 6-10 years of progressive Insurance Accounting
• experience or public accounting background with insurance industry engagement. Strong GAAP and SAP
• (Statutory Accounting Principle) knowledge
  
  
  

Additional Preferences

• Experience with reinsurance, Netsuite experience, and CPA license preferred.
  
  
  

Location:

• Role based in NYC. Local candidates will be considered for a hybrid schedule (2 days per week in office.)
• Remote will be considered for candidates not local to the NYC area.
