Reports To: VP of Finance

A sophisticated, boutique, privately held investment office located in West Hollywood is seeking an experienced accounting professional to take on a leadership role within their finance department. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and adept at navigating a fast-moving financial landscape.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead the preparation of financial statements, forecasts, and periodic performance reports across a range of business entities.
• Take full ownership of internal accounting workflows—handling everything from vendor payments and expense tracking to account reconciliations and receivables.
• Consolidate financials across multiple entities, including trusts, private partnerships, and philanthropic foundations.
• Support liquidity and cash position analysis, helping the team make informed decisions around operational needs.
• Build and reinforce financial controls to reduce risk and improve transparency.
• Serve as a point of contact for outside consultants including tax advisors, auditors, and legal representatives.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for executive leadership.
• Ensure all financial activities align with regulatory standards and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Assist in nurturing external financial relationships, including those with banking institutions and investment stakeholders.
• Oversee the use and refinement of accounting technologies and enterprise platforms to increase efficiency.

What You Bring:

• CPA license with 8-10+ years of experience in accounting, including senior-level or leadership roles.
• A deep understanding of intercompany activity, consolidations, and accounting for complex entity structures.
• Mastery of GAAP and a strong working knowledge of tax compliance and reporting.
• Background in family office or private equity finance environments is a big plus.
• Skilled in the use of advanced accounting platforms and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools.
• A sharp eye for detail and a strategic mindset when tackling financial challenges.
• Strong communicator, capable of articulating financial data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Capable of juggling multiple projects under pressure while maintaining accuracy and focus.
• Discreet and professional when dealing with confidential or sensitive information.
