Role Overview

Reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller, the Assistant Controller will lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements, coordinate audits, and support financial reporting for leadership and external stakeholders. This role partners with the CFO, Operational Controllers, and Finance/Accounting teams.

Location preference is Irvine, CA or Little Rock, AR; remote applicants are also considered.

A Day in the Life

1. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
2. Maintain general ledger and support acquisitions.
3. Lead financial analysis and support leadership in resolving discrepancies.
4. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
5. Develop and maintain global accounting policies and processes.
6. Streamline accounting processes and controls.
7. Mentor and develop the accounting team.
8. Support internal and external audits and compliance.
9. Assist with SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K).
10. Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Legal teams.
11. Participate in strategic projects and system implementations.
12. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
13. Coordinate with auditors and vendors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA license
• 10+ years accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and multinational corporate roles
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX, and revenue recognition
• Leadership experience and proficiency with ERP systems (Workday preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (5-10%)
• Energetic, motivating, and inspiring leadership qualities
