Job summary

Tarvos Talent is partnering with a growing, privately held organization to identify an Assistant Controller who is ready to step into a highly visible leadership role with significant impact across the accounting function. This position blends the technical side of accounting with partnering with leadership to improve processes, mentor staff, and support strategic growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reporting packages.
• Oversee the general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis.
• Partner with the Controller on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Assist with audits, internal controls, and compliance initiatives.
• Mentor and develop members of the accounting team.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies across the finance organization.

What you'll be doing:
