Supported by a business unit Accounting Manager, Accounts Receivable Manager, Disbursements Manager, and related staff, the Assistant Controller is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of the financial close process and reporting of financial information to our corporate parent and business unit collections and disbursements. • Partner with the Bell Controller to solve key organizational questions and collaborate with functional leaders to develop and present executive recommendations.
  • Evaluate technical accounting issues and draft position papers as needed.
  • Oversee reporting and compliance of internal controls over financial reporting with internal and external auditors.
  • Drive changes and initiate process improvements within SAP and general ledger processes.
  • Identify, create, and implement opportunities to expand financial support and partnership.
  • Lead and develop accounting team members, fostering an engaging team environment.
  • This is a managerial role with direct reports.
Skills You Bring To this Role:
  • A desire to delve into issues and understand their impact on the company thoroughly.

  • Effective communication skills, capable of summarizing details for management review.
  • Project management skills to prioritize tasks without compromising schedules.
  • Leadership ability to motivate cross-functional teams and achieve strategic goals.
  • Hands-on experience managing monthly accounting close using SAP in a large manufacturing setting with multiple sites is preferred.
  • Some travel may be required.
What you need to be successful:
  • 10+ years of related experience in Finance/Accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a relevant field is required.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or MBA is preferred.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
What we offer you in return:

Benefits include every other Friday off with our 9/80 work schedule, 80 hours of PTO, 120 hours of vacation, 12-13 paid holidays, 6 weeks parental leave, on-site health facilities, access to Employee Resource Groups, and more.
