Job Summary

The controllership team is in need of a dynamic Assistant Controller to help evolve the department from a late stage start-up to a more mature and robust department. We are looking for a Controller who can provide operating results at the country level and global reporting to the Board. This position will play a key role in developing, implementing, and executing new accounting processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate results globally with appropriate reviews of transfer pricing and intercompany transactions.
• Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting relevant data points.
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines to maximize the protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows. Improve workpaper documentation, support, and efficiency.
• Research accounting issues and draft technical memos on areas such as ASC 805 Business Combinations, Asset Acquisitions, Debt, Equity and Warrants, Segment Reporting, Impairment, Foreign Currency.

Must Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive work experience.
• CPA designation/certification or CA (Chartered Accountant).
• Big 4 public accounting experience with strong technical accounting skills.
• Experience working for an international firm with a multi-country presence.
• Knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting.
• Strong proficiency in Planful or similar EPM systems, such as Netsuite.
