NorthPoint Search Group is partnering with a leading Atlanta employer to hire an Assistant Controller. The role offers hybrid work with a competitive annual compensation in the $140-160k range and a clear path to broader accounting leadership.

You will oversee accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, mentor a team, and collaborate with the parent company and cross-functional teams to optimize reporting and processes.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of accounting experience.
• 5+ years of management experience.
• Public accounting experience desired.
• Strong technical accounting and US GAAP knowledge.
• Proven leadership and team development skills.
• ERP such as Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Intacct, NetSuite.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee general accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, reporting, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate timely financial reporting to the parent company and other corporate entities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial documentation.
• Assist with internal and external audits and ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Partner with the Controller and cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Senior and Staff Accountants, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting policies, procedures, and overall departmental efficiency.
