Job summary

Ringside Talent Acquisition Partners seeks a hands-on Controller in Marietta, GA to lead monthly closes, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with leadership on budgeting and forecasting. This role combines strong technical accounting with strategic oversight in a hybrid work setting.

You will shape internal controls, oversee cash and working capital, and act as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisors. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in accounting and CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including time leading a team.
• Strong command of GAAP, internal controls, and the audit process.
• Track record of improving close timelines and reporting quality.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team through monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
• Own the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements prepared under GAAP.
• Serve as the main contact for external auditors and tax advisors throughout the year.
• Design, document, and enforce internal controls that protect company assets.
• Oversee cash positioning, bank relationships, and working capital management.
• Work with executive leadership to build budgets, refine forecasts, and evaluate business performance.
• Coach and develop accounting staff, setting clear expectations and growth paths.
• Review and modernize accounting systems, workflows, and reporting packages.
• Keep the company compliant with tax, regulatory, and lender reporting requirements.
