Job summary

Habitat seeks an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in daily property operations at our Chicago property. You will help maintain accurate rents and deposits, assist with renewals, and coordinate tours to drive new leases.

You will handle resident communications, notices, and timekeeping tasks while ensuring high levels of resident satisfaction and compliance with policies. IL leasing license or ability to obtain within 120 days is required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ previous experience as an Assistant Community Manager.
• Knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills, including a knowledge of Yardi, preferred.
• State of IL Leasing License or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Community Manager in daily property operations.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports including rents and deposits.
• Assist in collection of delinquent rent and issue notices as needed.
• Process resident move-out paperwork and leases; coordinate renewals.
• Coordinate tours and move-ins/move-outs; respond to resident inquiries.
• Collaborate with maintenance and leasing teams to deliver exceptional service.
