Interstate Equities Corporation (IEC) invites applications for an Assistant Community Manager at a Yorba Linda, CA community. This full-time role oversees day-to-day property operations, leasing, maintenance coordination, and vendor management while ensuring resident satisfaction and adherence to budgets.

Qualified candidates bring multi-family experience, strong communication, and solid organizational skills.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of multi-family property management experience.
• Working knowledge of property management, California, and local laws.
• Strong Microsoft Office and property management software skills; Yardi Voyager preferred.
• Excellent problem solving, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
• Empathy toward residents and staff while enforcing rules.
• Must work well with others; strong written and verbal communication.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus.
• Availability to work Tuesday - Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Market and lease apartments in compliance with fair housing laws.
• Pre-lease units and maintain a waiting list of prospects.
• Provide high level customer service and connect with residents.
• Collect and deposit rent using Yardi Voyager.
• Market units daily on Craigslist and approved sites.
• Screen and qualify residents; prepare units for rental.
• Enter data into Yardi Voyager daily (leases, notices, work orders).
• Communicate with Regional Manager for smooth operations.
• Maintain organized unit files and records.
• Bid and negotiate service contracts; manage staff and vendors.
• Perform maintenance and oversee cleaning of building and grounds.
• Monitor expenditures per budget; respond to resident requests promptly.
• Represent employer to enforce rules; report issues to supervisor.
