Bender Companies is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in daily property operations and resident relations at our Battle Creek community.

This full-time role focuses on leasing support, maintenance coordination, budgeting, and ensuring a high-quality living experience for residents. On-site work at the Battle Creek property, with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in leasing, assistant property management, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service mindset with a proactive and professional approach.
• Solid experience with financial performance analysis and reporting.
• Team-oriented with leadership potential and the ability to motivate others.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Community Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of the property.
• Partner with leasing and maintenance teams to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate unit turnovers and repairs to meet market-ready standards.
• Conduct regular property, building, and unit inspections to uphold quality standards.
• Respond to resident inquiries and concerns, fostering positive relationships.
• Help manage budgets, monitor expenses, and seek cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in reviewing rent collections, delinquency, renewals, and occupancy reports.
• Support marketing and leasing efforts, including showing units and promoting inventory.
• Maintain organized lease documentation and provide general administrative support.
