Job summary

The California Association of Community Managers is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support day-to-day operations across residential communities in Palo Alto, CA. This full-time, onsite role offers a competitive hourly pay range and opportunities for bonuses based on performance.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in property management, experience with market-rate housing, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of Assistant Community Manager, Property Management, or related residential property management experience.
  • Experience supporting market-rate residential communities.
  • Familiarity with single-family and/or multi-family housing environments.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Reliable transportation for travel between local properties.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations across single-family and multi-family residential communities.
  • Assist with resident relations, service requests, and issue resolution.
  • Partner with maintenance and leasing teams to ensure exceptional resident experiences.
  • Help manage occupancy goals, community appearance, and operational performance.
  • Support rent collection, documentation, reporting, and administrative functions.
  • Conduct property walks and assist with vendor coordination.
  • Travel between communities within Palo Alto as needed.
  • Track and achieve KPI-driven performance goals.

Assistant Community Manager

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Pay: $30–$34/hour with potential bonus

Schedule: Full-Time | Fully Onsite
