Job summary

California Association of Community Managers in Hayward, CA is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support daily operations across residential communities and ensure exceptional resident experiences.

This full-time, onsite role runs Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm, with travel between local properties as needed. Compensation is $30–$34 per hour, depending on experience.

You will collaborate with maintenance and leasing teams, assist with rent collection, and help meet occupancy and KPI targets.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years in assistant community/ property management or related field.
  • Experience with market-rate residential communities.
  • Familiar with single-family and/or multi-family housing.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organization.
  • Reliable transportation for travel between properties.

What You'll Do


  • Support daily operations across single-family and multi-family residential communities

  • Assist with resident relations, service requests, and issue resolution

What We're Looking For


  • 1–2 years of Assistant Community Manager, Property Management, or related residential property management experience

  • Experience supporting market-rate residential communities

  • Familiarity with single-family and/or multi-family housing environments

  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

  • Reliable transportation for travel between local properties
