Brief Description
Middleburg is seeking an experienced Assistant Community Manager to enhance resident customer service, assist in managing community operations, leasing, collections, financial reporting, and communications. The role also involves acting in that capacity in the absence of the Community Manager.

Position Overview:
Financial/Administrative:
  • Manage rent collection, delinquencies, banking, and court appearances.
  • Help meet revenue goals through occupancy and resident retention.
  • Prepare accurate reports using OneSite and manage payroll documentation.
  • Be available for emergencies, on-call duties, and community events.
  • Report community conditions affecting safety and satisfaction.
Marketing & Customer Service:
  • Monitor leasing team performance and traffic.
  • Assist with leasing activities, renewals, and market studies.
  • Ensure compliance with fair housing laws and maintain market-ready apartments.
  • Organize resident events and ensure excellent customer service.
People Development:
  • Support recruitment, training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Provide feedback and lead by example.
Physical Requirements:
  • Office work with use of phones and computers.
  • Walking apartments and grounds, lifting up to 20 pounds, and possibly driving golf carts.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma with 2+ years of Assistant Manager experience; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Experience in property management, hospitality, or retail.
  • Proficient in property management software (OneSite preferred) and accounting.
  • Knowledge of landlord laws and fair housing regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
